EACTS PRE-TRAINEE COMMITTEE EXCITING OPPORTUNITIES

On behalf of the European Association of CardioThoracic Surgeons (EACTS) Pre-Trainee Committee, we are thrilled to share two exciting opportunities for your medical students.

Medical Student Abstract session EACTS Annual Meeting Copenhagen, Denmark

We are delighted to announce the abstract session for medical students and pre-trainee doctors,  at the 2025 EACTS Annual Meeting in Copenhagen Denmark. Submissions are now open, closes 31st July. 

This initiative aims to inspire the next generation of surgeons by fostering career development in the field of cardiothoracic surgery.

In addition, we are proud to offer educational grants to EACTS Pre-Trainee Members passionate about cardiothoracic surgery. The grants will include registration for the Annual Meeting itself and a €750 stipend to cover travel and accommodation costs.

Applicants are required to submit a 500-word letter explaining why they would like to attend the event, a copy of their CV and a letter of support from a senior colleague. Successful applicants will be asked to write a short reflection describing their experience at the Annual Meeting and what professional value they gained from attending.
